I  ·  Our mission

A school that inspires lifelong learners.

Our mission is to provide high-quality education within an international, inquiring and supportive environment. We seek to inspire students and provide them with the necessary skills to fulfil their potential as responsible global citizens — at home in any country, comfortable in any language, ready for any subject.

Norden is intentionally small. Teachers know every child by name. Families know every teacher. We measure success not only in test scores but in the curiosity, kindness and confidence our students carry into the world.

C

Caring

Staff and students are kind and respectful towards each other.

A

Acceptance

An open, inclusive community where cooperation is valued over competition.

R

Responsibility

Everyone is accountable for their actions and committed to the school community.

E

Excellence

High-quality teaching where students are supported to do their very best.

III  ·  Why Norden

What makes us
different.

A unique combination of Finnish educational rigour and true international openness — in a school small enough to know every child by name.

English-medium excellence

Full English instruction delivered within the rigorous Finnish national curriculum framework — the best of both worlds.

Over a decade of experience

Founded in 2013, Norden has guided hundreds of students through primary and secondary education in Helsinki.

Small, international classes

Low pupil-to-teacher ratios mean every child receives individual attention in a truly diverse peer community.

Holistic development

Beyond academics: arts, sport, music, technology and nature education are woven through every year group.

Two campuses

Helsinki and Brussels share the same educational ethos, making Norden a natural choice for internationally mobile families.

Child-centred ethos

A safe, friendly environment grounded in Norden's core values — Caring, Acceptance, Responsibility and Excellence.
